La Trinidad Museum

Museo de la Trinidad

The parish church of La Trinidad presents in its museum part of its collection of artworks and documents, the result of the 1799 merger of the parishes of San Juan de los Caballeros and Omnium Sanctorum with the extinct convent of Redentores calzados, founded in 1236 by Ferdinand III the Saint, King of Castilla y León.

La Trinidad Museum consists of six rooms, each named after individuals who have had some connection with the parish since its founding. In the first, the visitor reception area, the former choir stalls of the Trinitarian convent are displayed alongside songbooks, and an audiovisual presentation about the parish is shown. The others are dedicated to documentation, sculpture, goldsmithing and painting, ending with the collection of images and belongings to the brotherhoods with canonical headquarters in the parish, which highlights the recreation of an old domestic Holy Week altar, with images that were once displayed there.
