Mateo Inurria Exhibition

-VENUE 1 - Fine Arts Museum
(Plaza del Potro):

A selection of the artist’s best works, especially those of his initial realist phase; there is also a cabinet of sketches and a reconstruction of the materials and utensils Inurria used in his workshop.

Opening Times: Tuesday from 3.00 to 9.00pm – Wednesday to Saturday: Mornings from 10.00am to 1.00 pm and evenings from 6.00 to 9.00pm – Closed on Mondays

-VENUE 2 - Vimcorsa Exhibitions Hall (C/ Á ngel de Saavedra, 9):

A fundamental part of Inurria’s work, above all portraits, busts and female nudes. Another hall illustrates the painstaking work Inurria carried out in restoring the Mosque and Medina Azahara.

Opening Times: Mornings from 10.00am to 1.00pm and evenings from 6.00 to 9.00pm

-VENUE 3 - Puerta Nueva Exhibitions Hall (Ronda de Andújar, s/n):

The public and private monuments designed by Inurria, some of which were actually sculpted by the artist himself. Maps, artistic drawings, sketches of still-life and contemporary photos, as well as all the additional documents which help us piece together these projects. There is also a collection of modern photos illustrating these monuments.

-VENUE 4 – Palace of La Merced (C/ Acera de Guerrita):

A parallel exhibition focusing on modern Spanish sculpture by Inurria’s contemporaries. Includes works by Julio Antonio, Benlliure, Blay, Clará, Capuz, Gargallo, Victorio Macho, Planes, Mateo Hernández, etc.

Opening Times: Mornings from 10.00am to 1.00pm and evenings from 6.00 to 9.00pm

-VENUE 5 - Cajasur Museum Exhibitions Hall (Ronda de los Tejares, 6):

This exhibition records an open dialogue between Inurria’s most important works and those of some of his contemporaries, such as Julio Antonio, Nemesio Mogrobejo or Moisés Huerta.
