Jardín de los Poetas
The Garden of the Poets is a garden located inside the Arab city wall of the Ronda del Marrubial. It was opened to the public on December 18, 1992.
These attractively-designed gardens were created by the Cordoba City Council on the site of a former orchard belonging to the monastic order of the Trinitarians. The gardens run parallel to the Almoravid city wall of Ronda del Marrubial to the northeast, while on the opposite side stands a bustling neighbourhood whose streets are named after popular Cordovan bullfighters. Municipal architect Juan Serrano Muñoz, who design the gardens, aimed to combine a traditional garden with a modern city park and give importance to the use of water.
