Beside the Synagogue, in the centre of the Jewish Quarter, the Andalusi House is like a little jewel, suspended in time. It backs onto the walkway of the old city walls, and as soon as you cross the threshold you are taken back into a traditional Moorish world of stylish rooms and courtyards, with collections of ancient coins and a model of the first machines for making paper to reach the western world.
