At Christmas, the streets of Cordoba overflow with light and color, inviting everyone to go out and enjoy time with family and friends. Simply strolling around is an integral part of these festivities, and visiting the various nativity scenes is a must.
The 44th Kutxabank Nativity Scene Competition Cordoba 2025, organized by the Kutxabank Foundation and the Cordoba Nativity Scene Association, features 27 nativity scenes, created by individuals, associations, institutions, clubs, schools, parishes, businesses, and religious brotherhoods. This year, three specific categories have been established: Category A (artistic); Category B (popular); and Category C (dioramas). In judging the awards, the jury will consider the artistic merit of the nativity scene, the details that enhance it, the good taste and originality in the representation of the main scenes of the Nativity, rather than the size or richness of the figures. The nativity scenes will be displayed in easily accessible locations from December 5th to January 5th, 2026, during the hours specified in the competition rules. Nativity scenes located in private homes will be open to visitors by prior telephone appointment.
